Jurassic World IV: Alan Grant & Spinosaurus are back!

Jurassic World IV was oficially confirmed by Universal Studios a little while ago now. We already know the movie is going to be directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One). Recently, Jennifer Lawrence was revealed to have passed on the role of the female lead and it seems very likely that Scarlett Johansson will be cast in her role. The movie's script is being furiously worked on by David Koepp who co-wrote the script for the first Jurassic movie with Michael Crichton, author of the source material. The new movie marks Koepp's return to the franchise 17 years after the release of The Lost World: Jurassic Park for which he wrote a screenplay.

I have been very fortunate to have sat down with Mr Koepp's writing assistant a couple of days ago. He is a friend of mine and has worked with writers in Hollywood for over a decade. While he wouldn't share the whole script which is being continuously worked on at the moment, he showed me excerpts from it. And guess what, there's going to be really interesting stuff in this movie.

First off, the new Jurassic movie will be female-led. Scarlett Johansson's character is a former black market trader who specialized in selling animal body parts. After the events of Fallen Kingdom, she re-orients to trading with dinosaurs on the black market. However she eventually loses all her money due to the interference of the main villain of the story. She has nothing left so she finds a job in a US government agency that sends her after dinosaurs on the mainland. The captured dinosaurs are to be relocated to Isla Sorna, a location last seen in Jurassic Park III.

The main dinosaur antagonists are not going to be velociraptors nor T-Rex in this movie. Koepp chose Majungasaurus which is a carnivorous dinosaur resembling the Carnosaurs in Disney's 2000 Dinosaur movie.

The main villain who will go after Johansson's character for certain reasons will capture majungasaurs and equip them with guns. There will be an attempt at militarizing the dinosaurs. This storyline from Jurassic World apparently hasn't ended yet.

Another important scoop. Spinosaurus, again last seen in Jurassic Park III, is back. According to my friend, Mr Koepp introduced an entire pack of spinosaurs. He has one of the characters in the script explain that the single Spinosaurus reproduced by parthenogenesis (non-sexual reproduction occuring in some lizards).

The script also features a very brutal scene in which people who work for the main villain literally tear to pieces a human. Then they throw parts of the person's body to a Majungasaurus' enclosure. The dinosaurs are supposed to learn the taste of human flesh. There are a few lines describing a human head, removed from the body, screaming as one Majungasaurus munches on it. This will likely be removed from the final product since Universal wants the movie to have PG-13 rating.

And yay, Alan Grant is back! Sam Neill is in negotiations to return despite saying a while ago that Dominion was his last movie in the franchise. There is a scene at the beginning of the movie in which he returns to his house that he now shares with Ellie Sattler. He finds her dead, killed by velociraptors, and goes on a killing spree in the city's streets. Where that will lead, only time will tell. I have not secured any information regarding Grant's future after killing the velociraptors.

Jurassic World IV is currently slated for July 2, 2025 release.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will feature Spider-Man India and Spider-Punk!

Recently I was fortunate to engage in a chat with a VFX artist who works on the hotly awaited sequel to Sony's 2018 animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse . And he told me some pretty interesting things about some of the Spider-People that we will see in Across the Spider-Verse ! OK, first things first. Spider-Man India is going be in the movie. This character was introduced in the Marvel Comics in 2004 and has so far never been adapted in any TV or film media. Spider-Man India will be a member of the Spider-Society led by Spider-Man 2099. According to the artist I talked to, the character is going to have lengthier black hair and red-and-blue dress. Another character that will appear in this movie is Spider-Punk . He's really a fan favourite, has been in Marvel Comics since 2015 and he's British. I've been told that Daniel Kaluuya is the voice actor, even though the studio didn't confirm this yet! So there you have it, folks! If you don't believe me

Spider-Man: No Way Home to feature Charlie Cox and Tom Hardy cameos

The recently revealed title of John Watts' third installment of the MCU Spider-Man trilogy had many fans wondering which characters other than Doc Ock, Green Goblin and Electro will appear. While Tobey Maguire's and Andrew Garfield's appearance is confirmed by virtually every insider by now (and has been since Autumn 2020 when filming started), I'd like to tell you about two other characters' appearances that I now secured information about. I have talked to several VFX artists who worked on Spider-Man: No Way Home . They told me this. Charlie Cox will appear as Matt Murdock. He will not wear his Daredevil costume but there are two scenes in the movie in which we will see him working as a lawyer. One of these scenes features a practical effect that Marvel then decided to embellish with a little CGI. The second is to feature Matt's super hearing in relation to an unidentified character's sweating during an interrogation. The other character who will appear is
