Jurassic World IV: Alan Grant & Spinosaurus are back!

Jurassic World IV was oficially confirmed by Universal Studios a little while ago now. We already know the movie is going to be directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One). Recently, Jennifer Lawrence was revealed to have passed on the role of the female lead and it seems very likely that Scarlett Johansson will be cast in her role. The movie's script is being furiously worked on by David Koepp who co-wrote the script for the first Jurassic movie with Michael Crichton, author of the source material. The new movie marks Koepp's return to the franchise 17 years after the release of The Lost World: Jurassic Park for which he wrote a screenplay. I have been very fortunate to have sat down with Mr Koepp's writing assistant a couple of days ago. He is a friend of mine and has worked with writers in Hollywood for over a decade. While he wouldn't share the whole script which is being continuously worked on at the moment, he showed me excerpts from it. And guess what, there's goi

Deadpool 3 will feature some old X-Men villains

The stills from the filming of Deadpool 3 are everywhere. They feature Deadpool in a more comic book accurate costume and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in a classic yellow suit. While Jackman's return is triumphant for all X-Men fans, not much attention has been paid to other characters that will appear in this movie. Namely, the villains from the original X-Men films. Recently I met with a member of the Deadpool 3 crew who was flown back to L. A. after the SAG-AFTRA strike began and put an end to the film's production in Pinewood, UK. I have been told some pretty crazy things. First of all, Sabretooth is back. We're talking specifically about the version from the very first X-Men film released in 2000. Tyler Mane was on the set in Pinewood. Kevin Feige was adamant that Sabretooth returns since he is Wolverine's nemesis. Another villain who is coming back is Toad. Ray Park is back after 23 years, reprising his role from the 2000 X-Men movie. If the claims of the cre

Spider-Man: No Way Home to feature Charlie Cox and Tom Hardy cameos

The recently revealed title of John Watts' third installment of the MCU Spider-Man trilogy had many fans wondering which characters other than Doc Ock, Green Goblin and Electro will appear. While Tobey Maguire's and Andrew Garfield's appearance is confirmed by virtually every insider by now (and has been since Autumn 2020 when filming started), I'd like to tell you about two other characters' appearances that I now secured information about. I have talked to several VFX artists who worked on Spider-Man: No Way Home . They told me this. Charlie Cox will appear as Matt Murdock. He will not wear his Daredevil costume but there are two scenes in the movie in which we will see him working as a lawyer. One of these scenes features a practical effect that Marvel then decided to embellish with a little CGI. The second is to feature Matt's super hearing in relation to an unidentified character's sweating during an interrogation. The other character who will appear is

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will feature Spider-Man India and Spider-Punk!

Recently I was fortunate to engage in a chat with a VFX artist who works on the hotly awaited sequel to Sony's 2018 animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse . And he told me some pretty interesting things about some of the Spider-People that we will see in Across the Spider-Verse ! OK, first things first. Spider-Man India is going be in the movie. This character was introduced in the Marvel Comics in 2004 and has so far never been adapted in any TV or film media. Spider-Man India will be a member of the Spider-Society led by Spider-Man 2099. According to the artist I talked to, the character is going to have lengthier black hair and red-and-blue dress. Another character that will appear in this movie is Spider-Punk . He's really a fan favourite, has been in Marvel Comics since 2015 and he's British. I've been told that Daniel Kaluuya is the voice actor, even though the studio didn't confirm this yet! So there you have it, folks! If you don't believe me

No, Mister Sinister won't be in The New Mutants at all

The cursed New Mutants movie from Fox which will likely end the studio's 20-year attempt at adapting Marvel Comics' X-Men character is to be released in August this year after several delays. Some fans have been hoping that the movie will feature a favourite villain, Nathaniel Essex, who was first teased in the post-credits scene of 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse . No. That's not true according to an editing assistant I talked to several days ago. In the final cut of the film, Nathaniel Essex is apparently mentioned several times and his activities are linked to those of Alkali-Transigen as seen in the 2017 movie Logan . But the character himself does not maky any appearance whatsoever. It may be sad for X-Men fans but Disney likely doesn't want to waste Mister Sinister for a movie with which the franchise comes to an end. If Mister Sinister appears in the X-Men reboot in the MCU, we'll have to see.  Rick Bernads
